Task Force Unicorn

No, really, the Dutch mission to Afghanistan used to be called "Task Force Unicorn." They've since changed it to "Uruzgan Taskforce," as Canadian, British, and U.S. troops, shockingly enough, found a great deal of humor in the original name. With a quote that begs for a pic of Captain Obvious, which I'm too lazy to post, a spokesman says,
It would seem that in Anglo-Saxon culture the mythological figure of the unicorn is associated with homosexuality.
Really!?! Grown men, soldiers no less, in the Western world don't want to be associated with unicorns? Cowboy up, you Dutch nancies, 'cause it's still better than the Rainbow Brite Brigade.

Elsewhere, French troops are still calling their operation Unicorn.
