Ah, revenge. Garm and I love revenge movies. Mostly because we dream of methodically slaughtering our way through our enemies until we find the person responsible and beat them to death...what, don't you want to do that too? Get Carter was a 1971 British mob-action movie. In 2000, the yanks got a hold of it. Sly Stallone plays Jack Carter, mob muscle. His brother dies, and Carter starts shaking trees--what falls out is a great performance. This is a simple, brutal, slick revenge movie. Like Man on Fire, which probably more people saw, this movie really grabs you and doesn't let go. A great cast, a great twist, realistic fight scenes, and experimental editing makes this movie worth watching. Old folks will be asking why the car turned upside down and kids will be scarred for life, but if you hanker for sweet, sweet revenge give this somewhat lesser-known flick a try.
